Managing Fast-Paced Creative Solutions Across Diverse Industries
As a Graphic and Print Designer, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of companies, from news agencies to payment solutions and promotional products. Each role required not only creativity but the ability to manage fast-paced environments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure top-quality output for both digital and print formats. My passion for design is driven by the challenge of translating complex ideas into visual concepts that are not only functional but resonate with the audience.
Ruptly: Balancing Speed, Precision, and Collaboration in a Fast-Paced News Environment
At Ruptly, an award-winning news agency with a global network of journalists, the pace was always fast, reflecting the ever-evolving nature of the news industry. My role required me to balance multiple tasks at once, managing everything from graphical elements for the website to developing creative concepts for upcoming events.
One of the most critical aspects of my job was ensuring that all the creative assets—whether for newsletters, web banners, or social media—were produced quickly without compromising quality. To achieve this, I worked closely with the Video Editors and the Social Media department, ensuring a seamless flow of information and visual consistency across all platforms.
Beyond the day-to-day tasks, I took on an art direction role, focusing on concept development and process optimization. My goal was to create harmony within the creative department, defining clear processes so that everyone—from designers to editors—could collaborate effectively. This approach allowed us to respond to breaking news quickly while maintaining high design standards.
Payleven/SumUp: Driving Campaigns Through Digital and Print Design
At Payleven (now SumUp), I played a pivotal role in the company’s branding and marketing initiatives, which spanned both digital and physical realms. My primary responsibilities included improving the website with engaging banners and designing social media posts for paid ads and SEM campaigns. These digital assets were crucial for boosting brand visibility and driving conversions, especially during key seasonal campaigns.
However, my role extended beyond digital. I was also responsible for the offline retail design, which involved creating packaging designs, product placements, and instruction manuals. Here, I ensured the brand's identity remained consistent across both online and physical touchpoints. One of the challenges I embraced was maintaining a balance between user-friendly packaging design and aesthetic appeal, ensuring that even the instructional materials aligned with the overall brand narrative.
By working closely with the marketing and product teams, I was able to develop creative solutions that reinforced Payleven’s brand identity and helped the company grow in a competitive market—ultimately leading to its successful acquisition by SumUp.
Print Design: Precision and Attention to Detail for Publications
In my role as a print designer, I focused on layout curation and print proofing for a variety of books and magazines. Working on print media required a high degree of precision and attention to detail. From font selection to content arrangement, I ensured every page was not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and easy to read.
One of the most rewarding aspects of print design was the satisfaction of seeing the finished product—a tangible outcome of weeks or months of hard work. Ensuring color accuracy, alignment, and print quality was crucial, and I worked closely with printers to guarantee the final output met the highest standards. This hands-on experience with print production gave me a deeper appreciation for the nuances of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
GEP Design: Creative Solutions for Global Brands
At GEP Communication, a promotional product agency working with major European brands like Absolut Vodka, Carlsberg, and Pepsi, I had the opportunity to merge creativity with branding strategy. My role involved generating customized branding solutions for companies looking to enhance their market presence through unique promotional products.
From the initial concept ideation to production and delivery, I followed each product’s journey. This required constant collaboration with both the client and factories around the world, ensuring that every design element met the client’s expectations and adhered to the brand’s identity.
A memorable part of this role was the challenge of working with a range of materials and processes, ensuring that each promotional product was not only visually impactful but also logistically feasible. Working with such well-known brands heightened the stakes, but it also gave me invaluable experience in global collaboration and production management.
In addition to managing the creative process, I also took on the responsibility of overseeing the e-commerce outlook. I handled the photography and retouching of product images, ensuring that the products were represented in their best light on digital platforms. This added another layer to my design skills, allowing me to bridge the gap between physical product design and its digital presentation.
