UX/UI & Branding
Empowering Small Businesses with Creative, User-Centered Solutions
In every project I undertake, I blend creativity with practicality, ensuring that my designs not only look great but also solve real business challenges. Whether it's developing a brand for a coach, setting up a seamless online store for a wine producer, or optimizing operations for a hair salon, I’ve consistently aimed to deliver solutions that are intuitive, scalable, and easy for business owners to manage on their own.
By integrating design, research, and strategic thinking, I empower small businesses to thrive in a digital world while maintaining control over their growth. This holistic approach has allowed me to build long-term relationships with clients, where design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about driving results and creating lasting impact.

Ulf Barthel Weinbau – Crafting a Digital Presence for a Local Producer
One of the most rewarding projects I undertook was with Ulf Barthel Weinbau, a small wine producer with a dream of launching his own commercial store. Ulf’s passion for winemaking was inspiring, but he needed support in turning his vision into a viable online business.
My role went beyond design; I spearheaded the entire project, starting with deep discovery sessions to understand his goals, target audience, and the best ways to optimize profit for a small business owner.
I developed a user-friendly e-commerce store that not only reflected his brand’s personality but was also easy for him to manage independently. The discovery phase revealed that simplicity in both user experience and backend management was key. The solution involved integrating intuitive tools so Ulf could update product listings, track orders, and manage inventory without needing technical expertise. This empowered him to have full control over his digital storefront.
Beyond the design, I also took care of all the legal documentation necessary for international distribution. This ensured that his business could expand to different countries, seamlessly aligning with his goal of scaling the brand beyond his local region. It was gratifying to see how these foundational elements supported his long-term success.
Hairdressing Salon Chez Matthieu – Streamlining Operations Through UX Optimization
Another notable project was for a local hairdressing salon looking to enhance both its digital presence and operational efficiency. The salon owner needed more than just a website – He required a comprehensive platform that would simplify their day-to-day operations while offering a smooth experience for his clients.
My approach involved researching not just the client base but also the salon’s operational pain points. Through user interviews and feedback from salon staff, I discovered the need for a better appointment booking system that could be managed without manual intervention. The result was a dynamic website that showcased their services while also integrating a sophisticated booking system, allowing clients to easily book, reschedule, or cancel appointments online.
A critical aspect of this project was ensuring payment security. By integrating a secure, streamlined payment gateway, I ensured that clients could complete their bookings with ease and confidence. This project not only improved the salon’s digital presence but also freed up their staff from repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on providing quality services.
Maria Meininger Coaching – Redefining a Personal Brand
For Maria Meininger, a personal coach looking to redefine her brand, my role involved a complete redesign of her logo and branding elements. In our initial discovery phase, we conducted workshops to explore her vision and values, identifying the specific audience she wanted to target.
Based on these findings, I designed new mockups and wireframes, creating a visual identity that better aligned with her coaching approach. The new branding helped Maria communicate her message clearly and effectively, allowing her to connect with the right clients. This project underscored the power of brand clarity—by understanding her audience's needs and motivations, we were able to reposition her coaching service in a way that resonated.
UX and Design Thinking: Research as the Foundation of Success
Across all the projects I have worked on, my design process has been grounded in research and user-centered design thinking. Whether I’m building an e-commerce platform or redesigning a brand identity, I always begin with an in-depth exploration of the business, the market, and the users.
For instance, during the project with Chez Matthieu, user testing revealed an important insight: many of his customers preferred making their own appointments online, something Matthieu hadn’t considered initially. This insight guided our decision to implement a self-service appointment system, increasing customer engagement and satisfaction.
Through this approach, I’ve been able to provide clients with actionable insights that guide not only design decisions but also business strategy. By focusing on real-world needs and usability, I’ve helped small businesses create digital solutions that truly work for them.
